A man in Ohio said he had to go to the ER after a bone in a boneless wing got lodged in his throat.
The man sued the restaurant, its supplier, and a chicken farm, but he lost his case.
He appealed the ruling twice. This week, Ohio's Supreme Court agreed with the lower courts.
A restaurant in Ohio was found "not negligent" for injuries sustained by a man who found a bone in wings that had been advertised as "boneless," Ohio's Supreme Court ruled on Thursday.

Anyway, I know I'm old but I remember when wings were dirt cheap, now they are like caviar price wise.
Have fun it is Friday.
What was he doing? Swallowing them whole without chewing?
Don’t be a Pig when eating Chicken
So, was he not CHEWING his chicken, boneless or not?
Yet spilling hot coffee on yourself gets you $7M.
Bone-LESS means less bones, not bone free.
Apparently.
“Who gets boneless wings?”
Well, usually they are cheaper so I’d say they’re pretty popular.
Personally the price of wings at a restaurant is stupid....I’d much rather grill my own on my Weber charcoal kettle grill....you can’t get wings like that in a restaurant.
I throw a little Myron Mixons Honey Money Cluck Rub on ‘em and call it good.
That stuff makes me look like a genius. Lol!
Bone head
Must’ve been a white guy?
Perhaps that whole chew each bite 21 times rule is not entirely without merit.
If you are that easily confused you should not be allowed out without a little boy with a lamp to lead you by the hand.
An inch and a half long bone in his throat?!
Did the man not chew his food?!
No, it is not. Boneless anything means not having bones. A wing or slice of breast or the cute little tail piece can be cooked a number of different ways - fried, boiled, baked, grilled, etc.
Agree, the price of wings is ridiculous for nearly half being bones. Many years ago, when we could afford the occasional whole chicken, I'd cut off the raw wings and freeze them until there was enough to make hot wings. Wings on a cooked whole chicken usually dry out and no one wants them so cutting them off first thing was a money saver.
Good thing Biden enjoys his pudding and ice cream.
Did the man not chew his food?!
~~~
That’s my first thought.
This sounds seriously inconvenient to the guy, if it really went down the way he claims and there were no shenanigans. But why didn’t he friggin chew his food? What is more, what is the restaurant supposed to do. The vast majority of restaurants order their food from suppliers. Were they supposed to smash test every boneless bite to make sure there were no bones?
IF I was on a jury, I’d feel bad for the guy, but I couldn’t side against the restaurant.
You might be correct from an ethical point of view, but incorrect from a legal point of view. In that case, it is always best to depend on the emotions of a jury rather than the cold calculations of a judge.
(But if yours is the liberal side of a case, then you can also depend on the emotions of a liberal judge. Life isn't fair.)
