Curious, given the significant knowledge and talent spread across the Freeper nation, which video editing software do you use?
That’s cool! What is your series going to be about?
Why would anyone need a video editing software?
Yes, some of us are filmakers, I have a Youtube channel, but sometimes I just use my video editing software to clean up quickie video shots from my iPhone to get rid of sudden jerks when turning the camera on.
Oh, thank you. I really wondered about this.
I got an M4 IPad Pro for this but want to know if you need or are better off using a mouse with it.
+1
Not to mention that I thoroughly enjoy video editing, starting doing editing with 8mm silent film in the 1960s.
There is a video editor that comes with Windows 10.
Thx, not familiar with it.

I’ve used Filmora for PC and iMovie for Mac.
Freeware called ShotCut. Not too intuitive IMO, but the few things I do I’ve learned how to do.
I *love* Final Cut Pro, and the price is fair.
That said, I use iMovie on my MacBook Pro, since it’s free.
Same here and Vegas in windows.
If I ever went Mac, I’d go to FCP.
Vegas is great but it’s so bloated with extras.
I used to produce stock footage when it was worth doing. Cuts only with the usual color / pedestal type tweaks. The vast majority still live at shutterstock, adobe, and Pond5. Every now and then I get a sale.
Up until a few years ago, I used to make a couple hundred dollars a month a lot of the time.
The once in a while YouTube, a handful of the effects and made up key bars and other supers in a photo editor.
I think that would be a great and fun career, if you could make a living at it. Most of my videos are now 90% stock and 100% of my images are my AI prompts. Have you been around long enough to have shot on film?
Motion picture I never got into.
I went to a tech college video production program in the mid 90s. I did a lot of internship with the local public television station on campus and made some friends with the staff.
That helped me get a job at the network headquarters. I was apparently the first one ever hired there from the tech college program that anyone could remember.
A media arts grad here in SC would have worked in motion pictures.
I miss 35mm film cameras sometimes and darkroom developing sometimes.
I would love for it to have a faithful following of a few hundred. That's going to be very hard in a time when everyone and their brother has a web series LOL. Mine is going to be pretty much just me talking about various topics, politics, history, some theology, an interview with interesting people every now and then. I've had a blog that I've maintained for twenty whole years now and the video series would be a complement to that, more or less. I'll let you know if I ever get it going :-)

I use Blender.
It’s free!
It’s multi platform. (Linux,win, mac)
I also use it to create 3D models etc.
Lots of online help available.
Fans love it, others not so much.
It is all quite involved to learn though.
Whatever you use, if you share content, thank you! :-)
