But interestingly, I think Swift herself may stay out of this. Reason: she's making WAY too much money now and being blatantly political is going to hurt her reputation (pun intended!) in a big financial way.

That's why Swift's 7th album, Lover (2019), was not as successful as she hoped for. Two songs from that album, The Man and You Need To Calm Down, proved to be quite politically polarizing and just before the COVID pandemic hit, there were people out there wondering if Swift was past her artistic prime.
