Why should the Democrats or anyone else have a candidate on the ballot who hasn't qualified? (a musing from my own gray matter)

Candidates for President, and any other elected office, should have to face the same qualifications to be on the ballot. Party affiliation should have nothing to do with ballot access.

Let me put it this way: Donald Trump, Robert Kennedy Jr., and a few other candidates have made it onto the ballots in their respective states. Harris has not done this for President. She should not be automatically considered for the post unless she has jumped through the same hoops as the other candidates have had to pass.

If this means that the Democrats can't field a candidate this election, so be it.

That would throw the system into a little chaos but it couldn't be worse than what we have now. And it would be right.

There are two interpretations of the constitutional law and no one has standing and the courts won't address it. That doesn't mean it is over. She was born to two non-citizen parents. Yes, she is a US citizen via birthright citizenship but she is NOT a natural born citizen, that is born of two citizen parents. No court will give me standing to challenge that so my only voice is at the ballot. I will not vote for her any more than I'd vote for Cruz, Rubio, Ramaswamy, Haley, and many others that think they are qualified simply by birthright citizenship.

Will it matter to others, a few, yes, but enough to cost her the election on that point only? Probably not.

Doesn't matter as I'd NEVER vote for Harris because of her politics.
