How rare?
Very, terribly rare. Almost unheard of.

Multiply that over a ten year period. There will probably be a near 100% failure over 10 years.

(Do not let them make you "care" ! Guilting you is how they control you. )
From the article:
The
SHARDS of turbine forced officials to close beaches earlier this week, though they have since reopened. Mohr said the town would monitor for additional debris and adjust schedules accordingly.
“Public safety is our most immediate concern, these fiberglass pieces are quite SHARP,” Mohr said, making swimming unsafe.
From the movie:
Vaughn: Martin, i-it's all psychological. You yell `barracuda!', everybody says `huh, what?'. You yell `SHARDS!' and we've got a panic on our hands on the fourth of July. --- Okay you, you can take us back now.

Good thing John (Purple Heart) Kerry sold his estate on Nantucket and moved to Martha's Vineyard.
It would be a real shame if he crashed into massive turbine blade while windsurfing.

That damage was caused by a tornado 7 miles away?? Past time to forget about the wind turbines! Who pays for this damage?
