NEW: Per federal law enforcement source w/ knowledge of the security planning for Trump’s Butler, PA rally, the event was staffed by 22 Secret Service agents, including advance, assault, and sniper teams, 16 HSI agents, and it is believed there was no SS drone in the air.
Per source, Secret Service did not request any tactical support from HSI (Homeland Security Investigations) beforehand, including the HSI elite Special Response team. HSI agents were assigned to “post standing” security duties at the street entrance and the media area, and were not responsible for the close proximity around Trump, or the buildings on the exterior of the area where the shooter was.
The entire operational security plan was created and carried out by Secret Service, which told HSI and local law enforcement where they needed bodies, and was responsible for the advance planning.
Per source, allegations that HSI agents were untrained or unprepared to provide security at this event are way off base - adding that HSI are highly trained federal law enforcement who routinely run complex investigations, often at the border. Source added that HSI had roughly 400 agents providing security at the RNC in Milwaukee, and they know what threats to look for, adding that HSI agents working perimeter surveillance at the RNC were involved in spotting and arresting a suspicious man on Monday who approached the secure RNC area with a bag that had a AK47 pistol, a full magazine, and a Scream mask in it.
A lot of finger pointing going on as a result of the security failure on Saturday, which was centimeters away from resulting in the assassination of former President Trump, live on national television.

“ adding that HSI are highly trained federal law enforcement who routinely run complex investigations,”
Well they weren’t there to conduct investigations. And no amount of “highly trained” can’ can make up for incompetence.
No advance SS drone request to HQ? Were they counting on borrowing the shooter’s drone when he wasn’t using it?
1. Someone made the call either to not have SS/LE on that roof, or failed to ensure SS/LE personnel were in position to cover that roof.
2. Someone made the call to allow Trump on the stage when 20 minutes prior they knew a threat has been identified.
3. The person who should be making those calls onsite has not been identified, WHY.
A witness there is saying the cop never went to the roof. Also, the snipers were watching him shoot. They did nothing.
You don’t need to be a tactical genius to take advantage of undefended territory
When I was a young lieutenant we got a new battalion sergeant major who made a lasting impression on me and my peers and taught the whole battalion a valuable lesson in the power of words. In army parlance at the time, and I would assume so even now, soldiers were generically referred to as "bodies," i.e., "First sergeant needs two bodies from each platoon for a grass cutting detail."
Our battalion sergeant major did everything in his power and influence to purge that usage, arguing that soldiers earned the right to be called soldiers, and leaders should be proud to lead soldiers, not mere bodies. He would say that if somebody wanted to work with bodies they should have gone to mortician school. Of course he was right, and powerfully so, and as he changed the language of the battalion, he changed attitudes.
So when I read the above passage in the article, I read it in that context. The SS shouldn't have been telling local police and HSI where they needed, "bodies," as that's what they got. They should have been telling them where they needed officers and security professionals.
The border? At our intentional cluster foxtrot where laws are ignored and national sovereignty is surrendered for the political benefit of the left? You might as well have bragged about guarding Hunter Biden's chastity and sobriety.
Yes those fat militia guys could take out the FBI.
(You ask for a miracle, I give you the FBI)
Mayorkas’ failure to protect the southern border is not incompetence, it’s by design.
Mayorkas’ failure to protect President Trump is not incompetence, it’s by design.
There’s a pattern with this guy.
HSI Special Needs training class goes to work.
You could put the 82nd Airborne in Butler and simply not placing anybody on that roof nor overhead reconnaissance to stop a sniper changed everything.
What border? There is no border.
>> Well….they all failed.
In their view the only “failure” was that the Lord turned President Trump’s head a bit at the “wrong” time, and they didn’t plan for that.
This was a planned administrative state operation gone wrong. Alejandro Mayorkas and all the others who planned and executed this travesty deserve not an assassin’s bullet but rather a firing squad’s final justice.
I accept full responsibility (to pose heroically for the photographer).
“They likely knew it within a couple of hours.”
They knew the answer in a matter of seconds.
“Sorry—we missed.”
On the border?
So these guys are part of the Mayorkas Stasi.
Maybe because the conspirators need to make that person “go away” before they name them? You know, tragic car accident or maybe a “sudden death” from unknown causes. Then they can say, “the USSS agent in charge of the site was [insert name here]. But tragically, he/she/xhe passed away unexpectedly.”
I wouldn’t put anything past them at this point.
>> we know there were a few on a rooftop, but not all rooftops, and not the right rooftop
The only important rooftop to Mayorkas was the one holding the sniper that would take out Crooks a split second AFTER he killed the President, but well BEFORE he could be arrested and spill the beans on how he was groomed for the assassination and aided in executing it.
Dyslexia breaking down barriers one do over at a time.
I suspect they're talking about Charlottsville and J6, but they mean operations more than investgations
