“I’ve lived in Japan since 1985”
Just out of curiosity, what brought you to Japan to begin with and why have you stayed so long?
A buddy stayed in Japan after getting out of the Navy , and invited me to visit many times . I finally came in April of 1985 and stayed for about 2 and a half weeks . I was in a rut back in NY and looking for adventure and change . Tokyo was like being on another planet and it fascinated the heck out of ne . So did the women hehe . Teaching jobs were plentiful so I went back to NY and decided to give life in Japan a try . I returned in September of 1985 and have been here ever since . I believe it was my destiny . Oh , I am now a grandpa and our daughter is pregnant with her 2nd child due in December .
