When you are up to your a$$ in alligators it’s difficult to remember your objective was to drain the swamp.............

I went and visited that swamp almost 20 years ago. Our boat got swarmed as well with about 40 gators. They were mostly around 3 to 6 foot long. My ex-wife was freaking out. I pollinated out that they were pretty small and had never heard of them climbing into a boat. I am sure they are bigger now.

A buddy of mine and I put a boat in on the Trinity River in Texas. It was high tide. We went down the river to get some fishing in. We saw gators on a sand bank but they ignored us.
On the way back up river, the tide was out and we ran aground. So the two of had to get out and push the boat across a couple of sand bars right in front of about 20 gators. They stayed where they were, so we were very relieved.

Around 1987 the wife and I put in our canoe just outside of Fargo, and paddled through parts of the Okefenokee Swamp, down Suwannee river to the gulf coast. Tent camped on bank of the river several nights. Saw lots of gators, snakes and other creatures. Had an awesome time.
