This is all a bit broad brush. For another example I have yet to be in a US hospital room that did not have a big bank of windows that allowed the patient to see the sun. Sometimes in fact you saw a bit too much sun.
And they usually have a garden area where you can go for sunshine and fresh air.
Is this guy right about things like this happening in some hospitals? Probably. Is he right about it happening in every hospital? Nah.
The one point he makes that I totally agree with is never leave your loved one alone in a hospital.
His point when he mentioned the sum was actually about how hospitals don’t let you sleep, not that they needed to go outside.
I think every human who has been in a hospital has noted that they wake you constantly.
