Perhaps “they” would pick this kid, if the plan involved a second more professional shooter, to cover up his involvement.
Perhaps the kid got lucky and fired considerably closer to target than handlers were expecting, or the pro missed and never got off another shot.
In that scenario, handlers figured kid would be way off target and if he hit anything, well it would likely be a Trump supporter or two (as he did).
But yes, I agree, the kid as lone gunman makes no sense, if you’re going to try to kill. Kid as lone gunman makes sense if your objective is simply to intimidate or create a fear of attending future events?
I am only speculating about plots because of rat er disturbing circumstantial evidence of a plot (change of security, failure to follow normal procedures, letting the kid stay on roof with Trump on stage — it all screams out organized plot, surely).
Does anyone have any theories about location of second shooter? Where’s the “grassy knoll” in this kill zone? And did the second shooter act, or abort at last second? I am no ballistics expert; how much training would a kid need to fire off shots as accurate as those witnessed?
I’ve read considered opinions that Lee harvey Oswald had enough demonstrated skill to hit Kennedy from book depository window, and no second gunman is needed to explain outcome, but a second gunman had to fire one of non-lethal shots known to have happened (to avoid magic bullet theory). But did this kid have any realistic chance to kill Trump? And even if so, would any conspirators believe he could do it?
It’s a murky combination of odd coincidences and outright inexcusable incompetence suggesting planning and a desired outcome. Killing Donald Trump would predictably have stirred up a national crisis of election-cancelling proportions, declaration of a state of emergency, martial law, etc etc.
America was perhaps within a foot or half second of that outcome — a sobering thought indeed.
And are they done? Or will they try again?
My opinion: the kid was put there intentionally to get his brains blown out by the sniper teams. He was sacrificed so the SS could say “we got the shooter, case closed.”
From what I’ve heard, it was an easy shot.
