My understanding of the admittedly sketchy narrative is that the Counter Sniper scored what ER nurses call a "hole in one," the bullet hit on the left side of the mouth, and exited at ear level out the occipital on the right side. Instant lights out.

Snipers are trained to shoot at the "tee," eyebrows and nose, to destroy the brain stem and block motion of the trigger finger. The problem with that is involuntary spasms. The rifle was several feet away from the body, in the pic from the drone. Kicked away, or thrown in a terminal convulsion?
