A looong time.
GWB got lampooned constantly. To this day you can still remember ‘mis-remember’, or ‘strategery’ because the media would blow-torch everything the guy said. Compare and contrast that to the purely hands-off treatment Biden has got for his terrible speaking the last 3+ years.
But that doesn’t go back far enough.
I remember Reagan was the favorite target of comedians. Both stand-up type as well as late-night. The MSM wasn’t easy on him either but for people in the entertainment world, Reagan had the figurative bullseye on him. It was constant.
And both Reagan and GWB had their fair share of innuendo about assassination against them. Reagan actually got shot, and the guy who shot him had mental problems, but it’s hard not to surmise that a culture that stokes the minimization of your president didn’t contribute to his mental state in the moment.
The left are then ones encouraging this violence.
And this sort of thing proves it.
Identity politics has been around since the 50s but the first dems to make it a pillar of their campaign in 1992 were a couple of grifters from arkansas!

You can’t say about Biden 1/4th of the things said about GWB without being “visited”. Political free speech for American citizens no longer exist *if it speech against a DEM*.
I saw an article yesterday that detailed, with examples, Democrats calling every Republican Presidential since Thomas Dewey ran against Harry Truman Nazis. So..... (yawns)
The left went ballistic over a rodeo clown in a 0bama mask. Least we forget.
