Russia has denied its ground offensive on Ukraine’s northeastern Kharkiv region is failing after an official said he would seal off border villages to shield them from Ukrainian shelling.
Belgorod’s regional governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said on Tuesday that civilian access to 14 Russian border villages would be restricted given the ongoing intensity of the attacks.
Asked if this meant that the Kharkiv operation had failed, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday: “No, it doesn’t.”

According to the maps, the offensive has stalled, Russians going nowhere the last couple weeks despite the usual artillery duels and small unit tactics back and forth.

The Ukrainians’ first priority has always been to liquidate the Russian people living in Ukraine. Sort of like Hitler utilizing limited resources to continue exterminating Jews while the Allies were destroying their armies.
I suspect the war is not going well for Russia now, at least compared to a few months ago.
There is many videos of Russian infrastructure getting hit by Ukr drones. Oil tanks etc.
So I wonder if Ukr is really on the ropes and getting ready for collapse wouldn’t they be focusing only on attacking Russian forces? This almost sounds like preparing for a Ukr offensive.

So why is the Belgorod governor really placing those border villages off limits to the women and children, and only armed men? Are they being used as R & R centers for exhausted Russian troops? Perhaps there are large stores of explosives, vehicles, food for troops and medicine in those Russian border villages.
Meanwhile Putin continues to send his meat waves with little notable success. Current casualty figures are mostly running 1100 and higher daily. I believe the total casualties surpassed 560,000 today. What a waste. As to the 6000 bombs. They may destroy more cities, but I thought Putin was mainly after the underground resources of eastern Ukraine. How much will these “almost atomic” strength bombs destroy the underground resources Putin is after?

Yours, not mine. I am a realist, pointing out continuously for negotiations. Fact:
the Russian Federation has become a world power, it’s capabilities in many sectors surpasses the US’s. Get used to it.
My “ rub”, the collective West’s continuous push for war. One escalation after another. Not one advocated ( only Hungary) for negotiations….and the West has torpedoed negotiations twice. Make no mistake, Vlad is keeping his Russian provinces.
Fact: Ukraine is being pulverized, ground into dust one city, one province at a time.
Do realize, unlike most here, I have seen war firsthand. Anyone witnessing war will do anything to prevent it, even if it means having to admit defeat, eat crow, …which the US and collective West is unwilling to do.
