Zip in my opinion.
he will decide on capabilities first - and other issues second - as before.
Probably nothing, but it does bring to mind that comedy bit about volunteers and they guy chosen was the last guy to move.
Id pick someone that thr deep state despises.
Not just for this reason.
So “no” Rubio or his ilk.
It’ still J.D. Vance, but the internal opposition has evaporated.
You can tell it’s going to be Vance because of all the hit pieces that have come out against him lately.
I think he’ll go mainstream. The assassination attempt reminds people that the VP might have to take over at any time. I don’t think people are going to be wanting someone questionable in that spot. I wouldn’t say any of those you mentioned are outside the mainstream except Vivek and Gabbard.
What bump in the polls? Have there been any polls after the assassination attempt?
I read in an article that he is changing his RNC speech to focus more on unity which is a little concerning. I don’t want him to soften but this has obviously had an impact. He may be looking at the VP in the same way. No way to know right now.
I consider Vance and Rubio Deep Staters as I consider ANY senator of either party a Deep Stater.
I learned that lesson the hard way with Little Beauregard Sessions.
My choice is still Stefanik.
Some may question her background but I trust her more than Vance.
I don’t trust anyone from Yale.
I was rereading Silent Coup and it mentioned how Yale had been a CIA recruiting ground ever since the fifties.
Stefanik has some times to the Bush crime family and Paul Ryan.
But I feel she has shown some independence recently.
Rubio and Vance are GOPe to the bone.
Trump listed various criterion for for his pick. The assassination attempt elevates the importance of “ready to become President and lead MAAGA” which was already top of his list.
He above all the possibles HATES the Rats and has no illusions about their intentions. He has real military experience and connections. He comes from the Deplorables, unlike everyone else.
The other guys are go-along, get along, been in Washington a long time and put down roots. They want to make nice with the Rats.
Vance sees the commie v us struggle as a real struggle for the survival of freedom on Earth. So does President Trump.
Everyone else just doesn't get it.
Carson for example will be now talking about being polite and civil.
Saturday shows the Rats' reality.
All the 'tone down the rhetoric' nonsense from Diaper is likewise just to keep us off balance.
I have no idea. Trump was the target of an assassination attempt. A near-death incident is a big deal and people sometimes respond with major changes in their personal philosophies.
Burgum should be the obvious choice. He has executive experience and has demonstrated by his executive actions that he is a MAGA conservative.
How?
Question #1: Are you okay with the very real possibility of being shot at? Repeatedly, over the next 4 years?
