On FOX the other night, former Speaker McCarthy said he had spoken on the phone with President Trump, and that Trump was in good spirits, and that Trump even joked with him, saying something like it was a good thing that he (McCarthy) wasn't there, because he has big ears just like Trump, and might have been in danger too if he'd been there.
