Catholics believe that if you make a perfect act of contrition before you die, you'll go to heaven. My question is, would this apply to Adolph Hitler?? And if yes, how do you think his presence would be perceived?
Interesting. I didn’t realize this was a debate and I was responding to St. Peter.
You are sure that is the case because...Oh, yeah. You, too, have faith.
My faith finds suicide to be a sin that can not be erased by contrition.
While I may not share your belief about suicide, I respect your perspective. Let’s agree to disagree, and I hope you have a great day.
“My faith finds suicide to be a sin that can not be erased by contrition.”
Is your faith an established religion?
Stop replying
“My faith has nothing to do with you. “
Then why did you introduce your faith to me.
huh?
The technicality is the person committed suicide. Whatever contrition the person sought, the years, months, days, hours, minutes, and seconds before taking the precious gift of life is a sin that will not be forgiven by God.
Sorry that bothers you. You are welcome to believe otherwise.
Just to let you know, you replied to me. You chose to insert yourself into a conversation that was meant for the OP. Now, you can choose to stop.
You can focus on driving people to Christ through your actions, not your keyboard debates about whether my faith meets your standards.
Another reply from you will not be viewed as a discussion but as harassment.
Stop.
Thank you for your considered response. For my own response, I would invite you to prayerfully consider the following section from the Catechism of the Catholic Church, especially paragraphs 1989, 1996, 2001, 2005, and 2010:
I wholeheartedly agree.
