You want to throw away everything that has been won. America is never going to ban all abortions. The way to have more abortions is to threaten that you will outlaw them if elected. Now there is a path forward State by State. Are you so afraid that you cannot convince a state that you want to hide from that task by throwing the issue back to the federal system which is embedded withe leftists?
Incremental wins for life will accomplish much more than demanding what you cannot deliver. Which do you really care about the babies or virtue signaling?

The more you tighten your fist the more sand runs through your fingers. Even where abortions are banned in whole countries there are still rouughly the same number per thousand women. The battle is, in the end for hearts and minds. Laws criminalize behavior but they don’t eliminate it.

“This is one issue we need to back off on.
“Win the battles we can.”

It’s true. I think the GOP platform should not have the abortion issue as a plank at all. Don’t even address it. Then, when/if we have all three branches safely in the majority, take care of business.

In any case, abortion is going to happen no matter what. We need to focus on the First Amendment and retaining freedom of religion. The ONLY thing that will end it is hearts being changed, and preachers must have the freedom to preach against this kind of murder. (How will they hear without a preacher?)

Abortion is a state issue. It doesn’t belong on the federal policy platform.

Yes, and that should be the federal position of the GOP, along with NO federal funding of abortion including no money to planned parenthood and its ilk.

Deep State continues to try to gin up games of lets-you-and-him-fight.

To divide and conquer...

Until we restore our republic, we need to be one issue voters.

Every other issue is MOOT.

No other issue matters.

Vote to restore our republic.

AFTER that’s accomplished, we can sort the rest out.

PENAL CODE
TITLE 5. OFFENSES AGAINST THE PERSON
CHAPTER 19. CRIMINAL HOMICIDE
Sec. 19.01. TYPES OF CRIMINAL HOMICIDE.
(a) A person commits criminal homicide if he intentionally, knowingly, recklessly, or with criminal negligence causes the death of an individual
....
Sec. 19.06. APPLICABILITY TO CERTAIN CONDUCT. This chapter does not apply to the death of an unborn child if the conduct charged is:
(1) conduct committed by the mother of the unborn child;
(2) a lawful medical procedure performed by a physician or other licensed health care provider with the requisite consent, if the death of the unborn child was the intended result of the procedure;
(3) a lawful medical procedure performed by a physician or other licensed health care provider with the requisite consent as part of an assisted reproduction as defined by Section 160.102, Family Code; or
(4) the dispensation of a drug in accordance with law or administration of a drug prescribed in accordance with law.

“No state shall...deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the law.”

Amendment XIV, Section 1

“The appellee and certain amici argue that the fetus is a “person” within the language and meaning of the Fourteenth Amendment. In support of this, they outline at length and in detail the well known facts of fetal development. If this suggestion of personhood is established, the appellant’s case, of course, collapses, for the fetus’ right to life would then be guaranteed specifically by the Amendment.”

I don’t want to pay for baby murder.

I don’t want to pay more for health care cost coverage because I don’t want to pay for baby murder.

How does the USPS promote the abortion drug? By delivering it? That’s not promoting it it’s delivering it like they do tons of drugs and everything else that goes through the mail. Does that mean they promote everything they deliver?

That makes no sense whatsoever.

Abortion is a states issue period and should have never been a federal issue which it isn’t anymore. It shouldn’t be a federal political issue at all.

CORNER DRUG COMPANY
ABORTION DRUG DISPENSING CONSENT FORM

....

The Social Security system is likely to have to cut benefits in the future.

The benefit age might be upped by several years.

The initial years of Social Security old age benefit payouts might get based on the FICA tax payments of your children.

If you kill off your baby using our pills, you might lose future federal benefits your baby would likely have helped make possible.

How can we help you today?

I want my baby killed off.

Are you sure you have made the right choice?

Why, yes, the father is a worthless sack of ****.

(You’re no great human specimen yourself.)
Have a seat, the doctor will see you at about the appointed time.

But you are willing to pay for 18 years of WIC,SNAP,TANF and section 8 for not only the child but the mother as well? Because that is the reality of forcing someone who cannot afford a child to have one. It’s $65,000 per year per child in benefits that the tax payers have to cover vs $40 in a two pill pack? That’s 1.17 million vs 40 bucks doesn’t seem like a good deal for the tax payers especially since the woman didn’t want the child and was forced to have it. Or let the child enter the ward of the state system that’s also 40,000+ per year per child in state run institutions or nearly the same with state sponsored foster care system.

It might not be much longer until the GOP is just as much for imprisoning pro-lifers, as the FBI has been now.

That's about as likely as CO2 being responsible for the change in climate.

Combined oral contraceptives—Also called “the pill,” combined oral contraceptives contain the hormones estrogen and progestin. It is prescribed by a doctor. A pill is taken at the same time each day. If you are older than 35 years and smoke, have a history of blood clots or breast cancer, your doctor may advise you not to take the pill. Typical use failure rate: 7%.

Progestin only pill—Unlike the combined pill, the progestin-only pill (sometimes called the mini-pill) only has one hormone, progestin, instead of both estrogen and progestin. It is prescribed by a doctor. It is taken at the same time each day. It may be a good option for women who can’t take estrogen. Typical use failure rate: 7%.

Implant—The implant is a single, thin rod that is inserted under the skin of a women’s upper arm. The rod contains a progestin that is released into the body over 3 years. Typical use failure rate: 0.1%.

Levonorgestrel intrauterine system (LNG IUD)—The LNG IUD is a small T-shaped device like the Copper T IUD. It is placed inside the uterus by a doctor. It releases a small amount of progestin each day to keep you from getting pregnant. The LNG IUD stays in your uterus for up to 3 to 8 years, depending on the device. Typical use failure rate: 0.1-0.4%.

I suspect most abortions are the end result of not taking birth control pills on time.

Perhaps daily reminder pill boxes are needed that work in conjunction with cell phones.

Pull up your birth control pill app, babe!

Good to go. Let’s rock & roll.

On the abortion issue itself I am about as far right as anyone … but running around and claiming that abortion is a federal matter after you’ve spent almost 50 years to win the battle to overturn Roe v. Wade on the grounds that it is NOT a federal matter is the biggest case of political fraud I’ve seen in my life.

Mom 1 + child + Mom 2 + child ~= Mrs. & Mrs. Lesbian + 2 children

Mom 1 & Mom 2 can share say an Amazon delivery job and child care, working 3 & 4 days each a week alternately.

Republicans are useless if they ARE in office....

Well sure - I mean, just look - zero pro-life laws were ever passed and signed into law when we had Republican Congresses and Presidents, Republican legislatures and Republican Governors, the Judges and Justices who have upheld pro-life legislation and overturned Roe weren't Republican appointees, etc.

You are so right - not a dime's worth of difference - same thing would have occurred had Democrats been in charge over all of that... < / s >

The Left has no greater ally than having people with your attitude on the right - literally wanting to lose so the Left can have power to reverse the very policies you claim to support...and act like were never enacted.

Then don’t vote for Trump. This is an issue you will never win. Unfortunate but true. Over half the nation believes abortion is a right and will never ever change their minds. Sometimes you have to give a little to get the most. If Trump doesn’t give a little on this issue, we will just let the extreme left stay in office and good luck with that! Then we’ll have abortion on demand and forcing doctors to perform that and gender transition like Bidens administration is pushing.

Lol as if ghetto mom is working any job she knows you can’t turn off funding for a child even if she refuses to work in most states. I don’t know why people get so worked up over largely lower class women of color having abortions it saves billions per year from welfare payouts. Something like 70% of all abortions are lower income and minority that’s a win for tax payers like it out not. Those kids were never going to be net tax payers ok some might cross that 40% threshold mittens got in trouble for pointing out. As a real net tax payer I am all for hoodrat babymomma not having a litter of kids on the welfare.
