I usually think of pecan pie in the fall, but I guess it would be great any time of year, because, well, it’s pie!

You’re right to think that because pecan harvest season is in the fall, mostly late October through November here in Georgia. I love pecans and make a mean pecan pie just like my mother and grandmother did. It is so sweet but it is divinely delicious.

When I saw the headline my first thought was: Who would put Pecan Pie Day in July?? Who wants to heat up the oven to bake a pie in July?
