Given the Democrats’ past procedural competence, it’s hard to tell if they’ve really gotten themselves in a corner or if they still have several aces up their sleeves.
For the past 3 years, I’ve felt something was amiss with the Democrats and their bench strength. For a team that plays to win, no matter what, they seemed to have burned all their boats without regard to future possibilities. As I wrote in February:
It became apparent three years ago [ed: That is, 2021] that Biden would not be able to run in 2024 due to age-related issues. It was even doubtful that he would finish his one term. The not-so-funny joke is that his protective ace card in the hole was Kamala Harris, who would become the incumbent, which scared many Democrats. To win in 2020, the Democrats had to burn the ships, leaving no credible candidates on the national stage but Biden.
The party placed themselves between a rock and a hard place by going all in on Biden’s presidency, combined with ‘the first black woman’ as V.P. This meant they could not be grooming, developing, and promoting any other future candidates without appearing racist. Doing so would signal that Harris won’t have a future shot, and for Democrats and their base, that would be kryptonite.
Burning all the ships in the 2020 primaries got them a win, an action known as “eating your seed corn.” The short-term benefit comes at an enormous cost.
Democrats knocked off some promising future candidates and, more importantly, failed to set up two or three leaders who could be groomed to run in 2024 and beyond, people who would have the gravitas to win in the future. They avoided this obligation because to do so would have required facing Jill Biden’s wrathful question:...

My very first thought as well. Mail-in balloting, rank choice voting tabulation, shotgun mail-out ballots, etc are all tools in the lefts voting system. The quality of their candidates and the utter failure of their messaging mean nothing because of their ‘who counts the votes’ system.
The 22nd Amendment states "No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice". If Zer0 was VP and became president due to Biden resigning or his demise, he would become president, but not due to election as president. It may violate the intent of the 22nd Amendment, but it would not violate the strict wording.
I’m convinced the Dems don’t care...they have cheating down to a fine art and have demonized and marginalized anyone who calls them on it, and have kept the courts from doing anything about it — they did it before they are convinced they can do it again !!! BUT barring that: I see only one solution to their dilemma... He has to drop Kamala as his running mate, kind of like Roosevelt did when he switched VPs to Truman... and appoint Michelle Obama as VP running mate. That would appease those who would revolt about dropping a “Black” “female” running mate and they could convince the unwashed masses they are really voting for the first black “women” president as every knows if he’s elected he can’t last 4 more years. Oh, it’s HISTORIC they will say... just as they did when Barack came out of nowhere when the Chicago Newspaper torpedoed Ryan’s candidacy by releasing sealed divorce documents. This scenario preserved the cash war-chest (not that they wouldn’t find a way to tap that cash even if someone else was named to replace Biden) at the same time.
I’d Argue based on the wording, yes he can. He CANNOT be elected President, or vice. Gerald Ford was never elected.....
Obama can be President again if nominated as VP to Replace Harris who in theory is POTUS at that moment..

The ones behind the scenes, running the show are not incompetent. They set up and implement sophisticated mass vote fraud then make sure the courts toss out any/all cases brought before them - as happened in 2020.

I disagree with the author and others on one point. The early debate was because they discovered that Biden is in mental acuity free fall. By Sept and Oct things will only get worse. The Dems need to drag him over the line. To the Biden's it is about the power and prestige of the Presidency. For the Dems it is about power. Keep in mind a June debate absolutely played into their hands. Public schools nationwide in general shutdown by mid-June. A majority of voters have disengaged from politics until after Labor Day, which is why early polling is garbage. At this point voters who are paying attention already have decided how they will vote. Dems know this, they are battling for the relatively few disengaged undecided voters and that fight begins in September.
I believe the Dems have known about Biden's rapid decline since 2020 or there about. The J6 garbage, the weaponizing of the DOJ was meant to so tarnish MAGA voters and conservatives in general that Biden could still win. What is going on now is pure kabuki theater for the masses. Which is why Trump is smart to stay quiet or at least less hyperbolic. When it was Nixon's time to go, RNC leaders went in mass to the White House and told him to step down or they would vote for his removal. Nixon steps down, RNC brand is tarnished, we got Jimmy Carter. Biden steps down, DNC is tarnished, we will get Trump. Or so they fear. They will cheat but can only do so to a point. If millions of 2019 Biden voters sit home or vote Trump the DNC is in trouble. They need to retain 2019 voters and cheat to win.
It is not Joe's decline that has caught them off guard, it is how the majority of voters in this country absolutely despise the liberal policies forced on Americans. DEI is DYING, the 1619 Project is dead, trans politics has actually backfired and gays in general are feeling the heat. EV’s are as popular as a Yugo, remember those, if not you are lucky. I have seen manure spreaders that looked sexy compared to a Tesla truck. They had four years to convince us they knew best, and they failed. They need a large win to claim a plurality of American voters approve of their Socialist agenda.
Drag Joe over the line, all the while pretending to be concerned about his decline. Press has known he is losing it all this time, they were not caught of guard. At this point everything happening is scripted. Get the win, Joe steps aside, Kamala is first female President, she does not have to battle Trump. She can then appoint (the Senate will confirm) anybody as VP. No matter how unpopular, Bootyguy, Effusive Newsome or even the Hilda Beast. No bruising fight with Trump in 2024 or in the future. For this to work Joe has to win, but as of today he is bleeding too many voters to win by cheating. That is what the Dems had not planned on.
Every Democrat President since Clinton has been a power obsessed narcissist clinging to power in any way possible.
With Bill, it was Hillary in the Senate as a power base for an eventual run for the Presidency.
With Obama is was stacking every government agency with radical, hard core Obama partisans and minions burrowed into every position from the top down. After leaving office Obama bought a large compound in DC to act as the seat of power from which to send his edicts to his minions. To complement his lock on bureaucracy, Obama curried power and money of billionaire power brokers world wide with favors while in office to act as his trans national power base to give him the money and clout to run his shadow government - including Joe Biden.
Biden is the puppet who is cutting the strings. Biden is fine with being a puppet has long as gets to stay on the stage. Now he is cutting the strings to keep from being pulled off stage.
The Bidens take a more old school Democrat machine politics style to seize a firm grasp on power and elbow rivals out of the way. The the Bidens have 60 years of experience with Democrat dirty tricks and political thuggery and they will be hard to dislodge.
The end result is 30 years of political monopoly by the Democrat political dynasty of three Democrat Presidents intent on holding on to power at all costs. They have pretty much knee capped anyone who wants to step up to the plate to challenge them.
