What is a “non-player character”?
It is the first I have heard the term, but I think it is what the gray character is called in the cartoon style shown in post #2.
In video games, it is a character with no other purpose than to provide information or material to the player. Outside of videogames, it is someone who appears to be an extra in his own life story.
An NPC is a non-playable character in a role-playing video game. As the actual player moves through a world having adventures, they meet “people” who are controlled by the computer program and who say a limited number of things. They have a small number of statements that they repeat over and over and the actual player cannot truly interact with them, you just have to listen to them spout their programmed dialogue.
A NPC is a video gamers term for the “background” characters in a video game. They aren’t controlled by a player but react to the action according to the games programing.
"In September 2018, users 4chan applied the terminology to real-life people they deemed devoid of individuality and decision-making, those they considered to blindly follow the lead without giving anything any real thought, or even having inner monologue – sheeple, if you will."
“What is a “non-player character”?”
It’s a reference to random computer game characters that run off of programming as opposed to active player control.
It’s a fitting description for liberals since they run totally off of programing (indoctrination) and act like those robots in the movie iRobot “One of us, one of us, one of us”
