One of Clint Eastwood’s famous “spaghetti Western” films, “A Fistful of Dollars,” is getting a remake thanks to the help of Hollywood and Italian veterans in the movie-making industry.
In a statement from Hollywood veteran Gianni Nunnari (300) and Simon Horsman of Euro Gang Entertainment, alongside Italian production veteran Enzo Sisti (Ripley) of FPC, and Rome-based Jolly Film (which produced the original movie), they said they were thrilled at the prospect of remaking one of Sergio Leone and Eastwood’s classic films, Deadline noted.
“I am delighted to partner with Gianni again having just worked with him on ‘Those About to Die’, and with Simon on the remake of this classic film, which created a whole new sub-genre in film spawning over 500 European westerns,” Sisti said.

And without inconsiderate idiots who can’t shut up, can’t sit still, and/or can’t stop looking at their phone.
I just saw a trailer for the remake of Time Bandits!
50, 60, 70 inch HD TV and sound systems makes it less likely people will go to the movie theater when you can enjoy the comfort of your own home w/o the riff raff.
lol..laughed my butt off at the entire show, classic SP!
"For a few Dollars More" will be "For a few Whores More".
"A Fistful of Dollars" will be "A Fistful of (insert inappropriate term of body anatomy here)".
Here is a pitch for The Graduate Part 2 in the movie The Player.

I don’t expect much from the Gladiator sequel either. I hope I am pleasantly surprised.
The don’t make movies anymore they just send The Message
They need to remake ‘The Warriors’
I was watching an interview with Clint Eastwood the other day and the interviewer asked him if "the man with no name" actually did have a name. Clint answered that, yes, the character's name was "Joe," because that's the name that was on the script for the movie, as in:
JOE (to undertaker): Get three coffins ready.

They should remake the non-Clint Eastwood “bastard child” western with the worst title ever, “Duck, You Sucker!” aka “A Fistful of Dynamite” (1971). Which is also confused with the Terence Hill movie, “A Fistful of Dynamite” (1972).
The 1971 version was *supposed* to star Clint Eastwood, but he had fled to America. It was written by Sergio Leone and had music by Ennio Morricone, and starred both James Coburn and Rod Steiger, two ‘A’-list actors.
It is actually a good western and a good movie, but because of many things it was box office poison. First, the awful title. Second, America was tired of spaghetti westerns at the time.
But it deserves a remake.
The ONLY choice to play the man with no name, is Scott Eastwood.
When the man with a 45 meets the man with a rifle, you said, “the man with a pistol is a dead man.” Let’s see if it’s true. Go ahead, load up and shoot.
I watched the original again yesterday. Without strong actors like Lee Van Cleef and Eastwood that movie will be a huge flop. The music also played a big part. The long pauses when tge actors look at each other also likely will not play well with modern audiences.
Its actually a pretty boring spaghetti western. Remake it with a female using her tiny girl hands to beat up grown men. Yea, that works, NOT!
I can resign myself to them remaking this one. If they touch “For a Few Dollars More”, I am out.
The cast for that remake all died a long time ago and no current actor could even attempt it. It would be a dismal failure.
For a reasonable amount of money, you can have your own theater at home. There's no reason to go to a theater anymore.
I've never seen that one. I'll put it on my list.
It’s not the remake thing. I’ve seen plenty of remakes that are better than the original or are different enough to stand by themselves. I’ve just stopped paying for big entertainment period because I no longer wish to contribute in whatever way to the DNC. My last paid movie was in early 2018 and yes I know other Freepers have decades longer streaks. My last paid concert was 2017. No cable either. I do use some of the big internet services. There are enough youtube links posted here on FR so we are compromised a bit there. I’m also getting to the stage where most of the music artists I listen to are dead or close to it. Keith Richards excepted.
I predict a female lead.
