I guess it has to have its food cut up into smaller bites. Nothing to chew with!
They don’t chew anyways. They rip or swallow whole.
Alligators, being cold-blooded, usually will leave a carcass under water a dew days for it to ‘swell up’, like marinating, so they can more easily digest it..............
