On July 4 around 10 p.m., a fire engulfed the home of Adriana Hernández and her parents. That was just the beginning of a devastating and traumatic night for Adriana.
Captured in a cell phone video, Adriana can be seen trying to run towards her father amidst the chaos in Huntington Park. Officers quickly blocked her path.
A bystander yells, "Hey, hey, hey! She lives here."
Suddenly, a female officer punches Adriana in the face.

Forget about circumstances.
Just another story about police brutality.
In the King situation there were hardly any coverage of the earlier moments where he is seen mooning a lady police officer.
Always like to give the police the benefit of the doubt unless shown otherwise.
So you think that *mooning* a police officer is punishable by hospitalization?
Wow, why don’t we just let the cops summarily execute jaywalkers then?
And the fact that he was on PCP, which gives people insane strength and immune to pain, and throwing the cops like they were little kids.
Acquitting the cops was the right decision.
I read Stacey Koon's book. This guy was anything but prejudiced against black people.
Strangely....a good friend, who was a retired Captain with LAPD, had a different view.
"I would have burned them all, including their watch commander" was his comment.
“She interfered in a fire. Her Dad was OK.”
So, why didn’t they let her know her parent WAS okay?????
See? Problem solved. No need for neanderthal cops.
The Police were just doing their jobs; following standard procedure. There is no record of any policeman violating a citizen’s rights.
Maybe they did.
What screwed those cops was, not what they did to King, it was the comments they made about him and the incident on their MDTs(the old cop car computers).
“...breaking free and running back into the flames.”
Years ago visiting a friend that was a firefighter. Somewhere in the conversation he told my wife and kids that the animals always find a way to get out.
Later, out of their earshot he told me that wasn’t true, but that is what he tells people. He said so many times the people will get out okay, run back in to save Fluffy, and they end up dying.
Pigs wonder why people hate them.
That will never happen.
