The 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution states that all human beings are equal and deserve protection.

The 14th Amendment doesn’t actually say this. It specifically says the “persons” entitled to legal protections are those “born or naturalized” in the United States.

The 14th Amendment is actually an obstacle to protecting the unborn. The unborn will not have any constitutional rights in the U.S. unless another amendment is adopted that extends these 14th Amendment protections to them.

I don’t believe you need to look to the 14th Amendment in order to protect those that haven’t passed through the birth canal yet. The Fifth Amendment provides that “no person” shall be deprived of “life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.” If the SCOTUS (or even a federal law) were to recognize the personhood of the unborn, then that would be enough.

So illegals aren’t protected?
