In LA in 2020, I was living with three other roommates — one was my sister, and the other two were friends.
There were four of us in this five-bedroom townhome, and the rent was $3,800 a month — which was actually pretty good.
My portion of that rent was $1,100 because I had the master bedroom.
I bought the house in Tulsa in November 2020, and it just sat vacant until I moved there in December.
It's a three-bedroom, two-bath house with a two-car garage, and my mortgage is $1,185.

Native Okies will rue they day the paid to import Californians.
This is the way cancer spreads.
Dirt roads... bad schools, ignorant Oklahoma people with guns, more churches than Walgreen's, horrible "grocery stores" that have green baloney and other nasty uh, stuff in the butcher department. One can smell it when one walks in.
Zero culture, no symphony orchestra nor art museums. No place to shop and buy clothes except for one JC Penney store left over from 1974.
Had a big race war in 1921, (called a massacre now) and nothing racial has changed since.
Pretty much the last place in the US you'd want to allow your kids to move to, frankly.
Detroit would be much better.
Not a joke.
Take me back to Tulsa, I’m too young to marry...
Where abouts, if I may ask? I know to stay away from the Picher area of the state cuz it's too toxic to live there, but for someone like me who is looking for a nice town in central US to retire to, I'm running out of options.
“no symphony orchestra nor art museums”
I bet you really miss the pervert pride and African art exhibits.
Lol.
“ Detroit would be much better.
Not a joke.”
Well there goes your chance to be leader of the Tulsa Chamber of Commerce!
Livin’ on Tulsa time
Livin’ on Tulsa time
Well, you know I’ve been through it
When I set my watch back to it
Livin’ on Tulsa time
Yeah, and that’s what passes for live music...
One hears that Bartlesville is livable, or the Grand Lake area...
:)
Is there a Starbucks?
The pustule that was California has burst and is sending it’s infectious ooze all over the US. Colorado has fallen, now New Mexico.
They are now moving in on Oklahoma. Soon they will be demanding in Oklahoma the same California rules and regulations that they fled from there. Can the other FREE STATES be next?
The Californians:
Would they like to go to Tulsa,
Boy they sure would!
Let them off on Archer,
And then walk down to Greenwood!
They are locusts. Next thing you know Tulsa will get “green spaces” bike lanes, roundabouts, and “Art walks. “
Stop it now while you can. I know. I have lived it and moved several time because of Californicators.
Unfriendly people. No hip coffee shops or ethnic restaurants. Everyone is racist and even the black people brains have been colonized by white supremacy. No art walks on the weekends. No farmer markets. Nothing to do. No river walks. Summers are miserable and winters unbearable. Not even flush toilets and every month you have to hand shovel the feces from the backyard outhouse. Mosquitoes the size of pigeons. The alligator gar will eat you children. Injuns will scalp your women. Stay far far away.
There is a great documentary about that town. Very sad.

Central Oregon gone. Montana gone. Idaho gone.... all the places I kept my business infested.
