I read an article several years ago about people who disappear n back country. One wer3 a couple of endurance runners. They gt to one of there grand father’s house and went out together for a run. There was a fork in the road. One took one road the other took the other road and they agreed to meet up in an hour or so. One came back to the meet point the other didn’t. It was dusk, they searched and called the sheriff’s office. A search party was organized. His remains were found three years later. He had fallen off a rocky area . In rural areas the sheriffs don’t have a lot of money, or capabilities for large search operations. In areas where you have apex predators such as wolves, bear mountain lions etc. remains can be hard to locate. For many of these animals people are just another protein bar.
There are places on this planet where you DON’T just go screw around. Humans might be the apex predator here, but that doesn’t mean that *YOU*, precious snowflake, are equipped for the battle you might encounter.
I’m not sure how somebody would abduct a Sasquatch ...
There are lots of people that go missing in the national parks, but they don’t ever publicize that fact.
David Paulides has been researching this for a quite a while. He’s written “Missing 411” series of books as has a few movies about it on Amazon Prime.
He has a GoogTube channel and discusses these various cases.

I’ve also heard such stories (I’m a Nam combat vet) about Special Forces doing what you describe.
There is definitely something going on. I think Portals/other dimensions are a probability and I’d say your son would agree.

I was just watching a show about people murdered in national parks. Lots of people disappear and never get found. Big bunch of wild land, lots of places to dump bodies.
Helicopters.
