Yep the Viking kitty's were one of the first FreeRepublic memes (before even the word meme existed, I think). That and the "A moose once bit my Sister" meme, I seem to recall that was pulled out anytime someone posted something that was completely unrelated to the story being discussed (usually a posting to a wrong thread). I think it started when somebody just randomly posted the phrase to a thread and any future weird post was immediately called a "Moose once bit my sister" post.
Dang! Hard to believe we've been doing this for 25+ years...
