Military reports to Sec Def which is a member of the Cabinet. 25th puts this into the cabinet’s hands.
The military plans for government disruption are for a loss of government - like a chicken with it’s head cut off - not for transitions and political decisions.
They’ll continue to hold the line and maintain vigilance - not the first time we’ve had an incompetent or at least semi-incompetent.
There should have been several coups over the course of our history, and now is the most obvious.
The military has been lying down on the job of protecting against enemies domestic.
