On the surface, it seems like a strange request that on his deathbed, pioneering artist Frank Zappa wanted to talk to Anderson.

Zappa had a hand in the careers and lives of so many. As a leader in the world of weird, avant-garde rock, he had his Mothers of Invention, his girl group The GTOs, his three creative children and a whole hoard of friends, peers and students that had been touched by his impact. Anderson was, and still is, a major fan of Zappa’s and acknowledges his impact on the music world.

2:19 · Floyd or Led Zeppelin Zappa didn't seem
2:22 · to take too kindly to the British
2:24 · British progressive rock bands who were
2:27 · becoming big exports in the us while his
2:31 · own American Vans were struggling to
2:34 · make ends
2:35 · meet people like Frank Zappa were rather
2:38 · pissed off by the British Invasion they
2:41 · felt somehow threatened by it Ian
2:43 · Anderson recalled Zappa spoke rather
2:46 · badly of Jethro Tull the memories I have
2:49 · were quite personally upsetting because
2:51 · I was a huge fan of Frank zappas um but
2:54 · he badmouth us a couple of times
2:56 · publicly and that was really hard to

3:07 · meeting Anderson was and still is a

4:02 · one of the biggest regrets of his career
4:07 · in the end it seemed that Zappa simply
4:09 · wanted to use his final days for

4:13 · Reconciliation um as a musician said

My transcription/arrangement of this early masterpiece by Pat Metheny & Lyle Mays. Can you believe they were just 23 and 24 years old when they composed and recorded it? Unbelievable! It is still one of my favorite tunes and I absolutely enjoyed to transcribe, arrange and learn it to play. Without this music I probably wouldn't have become a musician. Thank you Pat and Lyle from the bottom of my heart! 🙏🏻🎹

One day i started playing around with it and while under the hood of the tune I found myself marveling at all the interesting moves that happen with the chords, especially on the bridge.
