For those in Rio Linda, when a Boeing B17 in WWII made it back to England and landed on its belly, with the tail falling off as it comes to a stop, it was not “shot down”. If you make it back, you were not “shot down”.

I think it went down, but after the load was removed it was able to fly on its own.............

Firing from public or private property? Pretty sure people shoot on private property all the time.
It says “mock” delivery, meaning the payload was nothing.
I see some wiggle room in Florida Man’s charges here.
According to the article the drone was making “mock deliveries.” I assume it was making practice runs.
I would expect the mock deliveries to have some sort of weight to simulate cargo carrying capacity...............

I say drones for retail product delivery are a case in point of technology outpacing and outstripping COMMON SENSE.
Like so-called SMART PHONE TECHNOLOGY made easily accessible and affordable to large populations of REALLY STUPID PEOPLE.
People of every conceivable nationality, income, age, disability, race, and gender, who WEAR THEIR HATS ON BACKWARDS and whose SEAT OF REASONING has completely migrated away from SOMEWHERE BETWEEN THEIR EARS, to SOMEWHERE BETWEEN THEIR THUMBS.
Just because you CAN do something, doesn’t mean you SHOULD.
