Senior atmospheric science major: Net Zero will reduce your quality of life

@ChrisMartzWX

Greta Thunberg and I are the same age. I’m a senior atmospheric science major who studies climate; she is an activist and the UN’s climate prodigy with zero formal education on this subject.

Climate alarmists habitually appeal to scientific authority [only if it suits their creed], but they claim I’m not “qualified” and ignore experts like Dr. Judith Curry, Dr. Patrick Brown or Dr. John Christy, and instead listen to her uninformed testimonies that are nothing more than cultish, politically-charged doomsday rants that aren’t in the least supported by the body of scientific work.

Bureaucrats and world leaders over in Europe have made grossly miscalculated energy policy decisions based on youth activism, creating energy grids with an unstable fuel mix too heavily reliant on intermittent solar and wind, which don’t produce enough energy when it is needed most, resulting in price hikes. In Germany, nuclear has been dismantled and they have had to burn coal and wood to stay warm during the winter.

The only thing “net zero” reduces is the quality of life.

That goodness Chevron has been overturned. Some pinhead bureaucrat decreed that CO2 was a pollutant. Now it will take an official act of Congress to legislate stupid. How they convinced Carbon based life forms that Carbon is evil proves the enduring power of propaganda.

The left are like this for every issue. They use “Group think” to control the useful idiots. The left takes something where no problem exists, turns it into a problem, blames everyone who doesn’t accept their position, gives exemptions to people who do accept their position and in the course of time, drains the treasury.

This wouldn’t happen if the free press did its job and not be a left wing government communications agency.

The intent is to cripple individual independence through the elimination of the petroleum infrastructure. We’re essentially at war with the Climate Cult. Rationed resources and starvation is a very real likelihood.

But it won’t reduce the quality of life for the scammers who foisted this crap on the world and that’s all that’s important.

It’s never been about the science. It’s always been about the occult beliefs of the neo-Malthusian cult “Club of Rome” and it’s hired messiah Maurice Strong.

Net Zero will reduce your quality of life That's the agenda.

There is no "will" about it. It is already doing that. My hubby and I have been married for 43 years. When we first moved into our home (where we still reside) there was a dishwasher and it took about 35 minutes to clean (and pretty much sterilize) the dishes. The dishes would be too hot to handle after it was done. Now, the dish washer we have takes over 2 hours to run one cycle to clean the dishes. Last year, we had to replace our washer/dryer. Again, went from 35-45 minutes for a load to 2 hours and 30 some minutes to do a load of laundry. That is just the washer. To get the clothes dry, I have to put them into the dryer for one hour on high. You might think that is too hot for a lot of laundry; but, you would be wrong. When I used to dry (lets say) the towels on high heat, they would be warm when I took them out of the dryer. Now, they are not even a little warm, and it takes 2-3 times longer to do my laundry now.

It now takes a much larger chunk of my time on weekends to do my laundry than it used to.

I consider this a reduction in my quality of life. Also, not saving any money whatsoever. When you have to run the machine 2 to 3 times as long, there is no saving money on this.

I read where 85% of "green house gas" in North America comes from trees. It is one of the reasons the Blue Ridge mountains are blue. Trees emit a chemical called isoprene which is the second most plentiful "green house gas" on Earth after methane. It has NOTHING to do with automobiles or coal fired power plants.

The predominant "greenhouse gas" is water vapor.
