What the bloody “Special Effects Illusion” setup did CNN intend to accomplish with their sloped side ramp (for Biden to walk on and off on); and a painted front “fake stair step” lines across the stage in front of the cameras?
The stage left and stage right ramps are dark, sloped to allow smooth easy (unassisted) walking access for both candidates. Good. ( Conservatives could argue that BOTH candidates should use simple stairs to walk onto the debate stage, but that didn’t happen. Hillary, for example, does not walk in public either. She sits through interviews also.)
But there is one step down to the flat floor in front that both Jill and Joe can’t see - because it is disguided with four painted lines on the flat floor between the CNN publicist and the slightly raised debate floor itself.
Trump shoulda had our First Lady crash the stage with her beauty and grace, 6” heels, bare shoulders, and smokin hot bod. She could have distracted Biden until he tripped over his own feet.

Don’t know about that but the two moderators didn’t look happy as the debate proceeded. However, I think they did a good job, and the two candidates obediently shut up when their microphone was turned off.

I had made a comment a day ago or two saying that this debate was rigged in favor of Biden because no person with a brain would’ve accepted all of the DNCNN negotiations favoring FJB. But I did say by the end of the debate we would know their nefarious sabotage. I never dreamed that it was rigged against FJB! Not in a million years would I have thought that this was rigged against the cadaver. The New York Times Washington Post all of them had their headlines ready to go after the debate. Incredible! They planned to a T! I’m more than sure the 16 that were at camp David helping Biden with the debate preparations send out the alarm bells to the DNC of his mental decline. That’s why Tapper and Bash immediately changed their tone to sink FJB. If the cadaver was sharp and on point on his preparations, they would’ve sent out the word to attack Trump instead. I bet you anything!

Dana Gash’s face is great. She looks like she just saw the grim reaper. I can’t really fault Chomo Joe for taking it easy down those steps with the weird lighting and shiny floor. But having mommy run out to immediately assist him was pathetic.
As I’ve said before, I don’t know of any dementia drugs that can make much difference in cognition or memory. I think in the past they were able to hype him up enough to read a teleprompter, but without that prompt, he’s just lost.

Jill leading him by the hand is not a good look. That said, if he had special contact lenses in I could see having trouble with the dark stairs. Also, she needs a good tailor. Her jacket did not need to be so bunchy and rumpled.
