My dad had a powder gold 1962 Thunderbird with red leather bucket seats. He let me drive it on dates to the drive-in. I was 16 years old and as popular with the girls as a movie star...for about a year until my little brother flipped the T-Bird and totaled it. It was like a death in the family.

After that, I had to drive my dog-eared 58 Chevy on dates. My social life took a nose-dive back to normal.

Normal (when it comes to social life for a 16 year old boy) ain't so good.;-)

Don’t complain. My folks wouldn’t let me drive their cars at all when I was in HS. I bought a Honda50. Real babe magnet, lol
