I have donated many times- this year is most important because this is my primary news source (both good and bad)
But the issue here is that too many millenniual entitled a$$holes have come here and ‘the moderators’ are letting it happen.
To many posts like “you’re an a$$hole” or “OK, boomer”, or “get a grip, Karen” when you post for someone to stop being a snarky jerk, or behaving like a liberal.
Too many posts that contain no content- no intellectual rebuttal. I expect people to never agree with me 100% but simple name-calling without refuting any points is useless. Mayb if you explained WHY i am an a$$hole, for giving my opinion that would be helpful.
But preferably an explanation of why I may be wrong would be appreciated. But just name calling is less than helpful. It makes the site and the particular exchange toxic.
And the moderators don’t stop it, so people leave and donations go down. I’ve been here since clinton was porking fat interns, just the have some millennial call me ‘karen’ because I ask them to stop swearing.
I warned a newbie that threatening a public official might get them a visit from the FBI and JimRob does not enjoy those either... and his response was ‘lighten up francis’
Name calling is getting out of hand. Becomeing impolite is now the default setting for millennials.

This works both ways... This place was absolutely hostile and unwelcoming from the “good old boys” when I first joined here. It was extreme and irrational... And yes absolutely derogatory beyond reason. It was “We don’t want to hear from you newbie! Sit down and shut up until you have been here long enough to earn the right to even speak and have an opinion!” There was absolutely no mutual respect for new members, it was if the mutual goal was to drive them away just as soon as they got here.
And I am not a millennial, I am a boomer...
It begs the question why are we even here? Why do we even share Conservative values if we do not want to pass down the wisdom to newer generations and hand off the baton? Is it your plan that the good old boys should take it all with them when they die and to heck with the kids after we are gone? If there is to be a continuation of Constitutional Conservatism there has to be some mutual respect, understanding, and compromise or there will only be five good old boys left here.
This won’t help donations either will it?
