Today, we learn that Ukraine hit three oil depot/refineries in Russia overnight. Ukrainian attack drones successfully struck a Russian Lukoil oil depot in Krasnodar Krai this morning, setting the facility ablaze.
We also learn that South Korea has begun considering sending arms and military aid to Ukraine in an unprecedented move. As a result of North Korea's new defensive pact, the South Koreans are becoming concerned of the possibility of war breaking out on the Korean Peninsula.
We have also heard that Russia is considering changing its nuclear doctrine from defensive to a "first-strike" doctrine. Putin continues to escalate the war in Ukraine as tensions continue to rise around the world.
I am sure all those people oppose the Nazis and serial killers too. Guilt by association is a logical fallacy.

We are conservatives. Be respectful to your debate adversary (fellow FReeper). For example, do not accuse them of being a “Putinista”, “commrade”, “murderer”, “baby-killer”, etc, just because he may have a difference of opinion whether or not the US government should be involved in a controversial foreign war where we were not attacked.
Likewise, things in the presidential primary are getting over-heated. We want to be sure we come out of this with a Republican president, house and senate. The only way we can accomplish that is to unify the Republican Party. We can’t destroy our own candidates. Whoever it is will need to pull us ALL together. Keep the ultimate goal in sight - Freedom! We are not here to fight each other. We are here as allies to fight for God, family, country, and FREEDOM! As William Wallace said in Brave Heart, “Unite the clans!”

The newly elected Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Alain Berset, spoke about the areas of his activity, noting that his priority will be Ukraine and all international initiatives related to its support and protection.
Immediately after the announcement of the election results, Berset made his first public statement at the Palace of Europe in Strasbourg.
“Our top priority, and we all understand why, is Ukraine. And when we talk about Ukraine, we are not just talking about the country, we are talking about Ukrainians. We’re talking about their children, and the Council of Europe is very active in all these issues,” Berset said.
As noted, the new Secretary General intends to expand activities, discuss as soon as possible at the level of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the Committee of Ministers and prepare proposals on all current and future aspects of support.
“We have to act quickly on the compensation mechanism and the Register of Damages, and on strengthening Ukraine’s defense. We recognize that we have to honor our commitments and I pledge to be committed to this,” said Berset.
As a reminder, the former President of the Swiss Confederation, Alain Berset, was elected Secretary General of the Council of Europe today. He will hold this position for the next 5 years.
