Probably found a “Palestinian” Flag on board, with a picture of Yasser Arafat to prove that the area belonged to the “Palestinians” 3,300 years ago and not the evil Jews.
If you need a sarc tag on this one Bruh, you really do need to touch some grass.
Most wrecks are found near shore for the precisely the reason that there are more navigation hazards. IOW, just stop.
It would be interesting, but apparently they only lifted two (one from each end of the wreck) which means they’ll figure out what was in the shipment, or at least the contents of those two. :^)
That’s right.
There’s never been a structure found to explain how they didn’t just rock against each other and crack and spill and for that matter lead to capsizing the entire craft. While it’s not reasonable to expect rope to survive this long, AFAIK no one has ever discovered any kind of wood structures, spools, hooks, or the like.
My guess is, the cargo consisted of grain filling the gaps between the amphorae. That’s also the reason for their pointy ends, which otherwise don’t have a reasonable explanation. :^)
Not condeming your post. But for your info

BC-Before Christ. AD-Anno Domini (Year of our Lord in Latin). We’re using the Gregorian Calander! That’s POPE Gregory! That’s about as Christian authoritative as it gets. But atheist Marxists can’t have any competition to their god of governemt.
I use AD and BC with dates when I know the other person is woke.
Ah it probably was sunk to get the insurance money.
They must have forgotten the beeswax to stuff in their ears.
They obviously heard the song of the Sirens who lured them to the rocks sinking their ship and death.
They ended up in Davey Jones Locker. ARRR
Oye Vey ! Irving it was a terrible wreck.
Canannites, cannibals and baal rolled into one word.
Not sure how that is proven or disproven, the vessel never made it to its destination.
This discovery doesn't prove they could, just that they may have tried (or got blown off course).
When I was in Israel, I asked an Israeli what they do when they find an antiquity in their backyard.
“We cover it back up and pretend we didn’t find it.”
He explained once its found, your home is off limits until they document and remove it.
It could be years without a home.
This discovery wasn’t needed, because it has been well known for a long time already. This isn’t the first ancient deepwater wreck. There are bound to be more down there. But most ancient wrecks have been found near land because that’s where most wrecks have happened and continue to happen.
Yeah, and?
Thanks, I needed a laugh, even if the joke is really old.
Are you “asking for a friend?”
Yeah, and?
Just sharing a little info that I thought may be of
interest to you since you included him on your list.
No big deal have a good day and enjoy.
Oh, yeah, well, thanks, I’ve got to go through all these ping lists to see which FReepers haven’t been active in years. Last time I did that was at least six years back.
