Gender dysphoria is a mental disease. However, today's society refuses to acknowledge it as such, lumping it in with other intrinsically disordered sexual emotional illnesses like homosexuality.
Today, of course, "truth" is not an absolute condition of life, but instead entirely subjective, "my truth" is not the same as "your truth". Therefore, you are prohibited from judging someone's state.
In this environment, whose opinions hold sway? Of course, only the loudest voices. Anyone holding opposite opinions are therefore deemed "evil" and must be cancelled.
So, the majority say, the gender dysphoric person is not "ill", of course! He/she must be coddled and encouraged to pursue what they believe to be the "solution" to their emotional pain. And the medical field, seeing dollar signs, encourages the "solution". The result? Sexual reassignment surgery!
So the individual pursues that way out. Unfortunately, post-surgery, after the initial euphoria of "finding" their "true" identity wears off, the reality settles in that their emotional illness has not been cured. In fact, sadly, there is no going back; the sexual organs that had matched their "XX" or "XY" chromosome structure are gone, forever. Hence, a significant proportion of those individuals wind up, usually within 10 years, committing suicide.
It isn't society that refuses to acknowledge it, it's Leftists, including Leftists in the medical industry itself.
The mentally ill such as those with Gender Dysphoria will not get help when the medical community denies their illness and instead drugs and mutilates them.
At some point society will need to face the truth that the medical industry is filled with the mentally ill as well. Drugging and mutilating patients with Gender Dysphoria is sicker than prescribing diet pills and performing liposuction on patients with Anorexia.
