Utter nonsense from “Ramin Setoodeh.” Friends and family members often credit me with having an excellent memory, but could I tell you anything about the waiter I had at an Oliver Garden 18 months ago? Oh, hell no. Because I have dementia? i hope not. Other than a few savants who can tell you the weather, by date, for every day of the year in 1982, or pull off similar stunt of extreme recall, the rest of us mere mortals disregard a large amount of information that the human brain disregards as inconsequential.
