Personally, I think that Obama took him by the wrist and led him off to embarrass him. Not that he didn’t need to be assisted, but that Obama, to keep up appearances, should have put his arm around his back, in a collegiate sort of way, and walked him off the stage. As it was, it gave the impression that he was grabbing hold of an errant 5 year old. And since Obama would probably like his wife to be nominated, I think he did it with that impression in mind. Besides, it’s a well known fact that he has no affection for Biden.
Obama is an experienced stage person and image handler, the way he walked Biden away must have been deliberate messaging.
The photo on the right is what most Democrats will take away from the event, and they aren't going to think the one on the left is that terrible.

I said the same thing yesterday. Obama purposefully did it in such a way as to make Biden look like a decrepit old man who was lost.

Naw, I don’t think O’bomba did it purposely, he did it out of necessity. We know what we see, can you imagine what the insiders are seeing and hearing coming from this doddering vegetable.
I think at this point participants of these Joetato dog and poney shows are getting debriefing in advance of what to expect and what to do to cover for the dementia patient when he goes off script.
You didn’t watch then. Obambam did put his arm around Joe’s shoulder and walk him off.
