Don’t forget the Donald/Ivana Trump Pizza Hut commercials

Since 2012, we have been proud to serve our customers their favorite food. Founded in 2008, our restaurants are located in 7 states: Texas, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Georgia, South Carolina, and Wisconsin. We have grown as a multi-brand franchise company combination of restaurant development and strategic acquisitions.
It sounds like they are older and have brands that are so ... dated.
In our little slice of Texas, all of these restaurants are run by various groups of Middle Easterners, and (anecdotally) are poor employers.
Ours closed several years ago.
It is not only Pizza hut that no longer makes good pizza. It is almost impossible to find anyone who does. If you can then it will be some small pizza place somewhere.
“Might be me, but their[Casey’s] coffee is good as well.”
Casey’s Classic and the Kona for me. I really cut back on them when they cut out the refill discount.
True dat. I ordered Do ions once decades ago and it was so awful I wrote a letter. Years later I got a coupon for any pizza saying they want me back and had revamped their menu and ingredients. I gotta say it was really really good. Pizza Hut. I don’t eat there because there aren’t any but when I visited family and had it it was OK. The sauce was really good but the toppings and cheese were boring.
Their pizza is absolutely vile. I wouldn’t feed it to my dog, because I love my dog.
There is still a "dine in" Pizza Hut in Pocatello near the ISU campus. I've never been in there in 24 years. My preferred pizza restaurant is MacKenzie River. We have many choices in Pocatello. We have Pizza Hut, Pizza Pie Cafe, Domino's, MacKenzie River, Papa Murphy's, Donato's, Papa John's, Little Caesar's, MOD Pizza, Olive Garden, Papa Kelsey's, Big Foot, Buddy's Italian, Costco food court, Red Robin (Donato's), Cafe Tuscano, Panera Bread. Plenty of options in town.
A franchise just opened near me.
This makes me happy. I can get a super supreme medium for 12.99 every week or so. I just ask them to make it well done and it is really good.
all the other pizza places near me are between 22.99 and 26.99 for a medium two topping, and yes some make pretty good pizza but many are like: we only serve climate friendly vegi only pizza. kale and feta is the special today, but still...
Pizza Hut as a chain has all but disowned dine inn… even finding a location that still has dine in is an effort in most areas any more and if they do don’t expect much I. Terms of wait service etc.
Pizza Hut pan pizza delivered is swill and always has been.. yet people want it. It’s nuts. If it isn’t fresh out of the hot pan it was cooked in its slop.
Delivered it becomes a cold sloppy mess, and that is why pizza but came up with hand tossed dough when they started delivering because they knew their pan was slop once you put it in a box and took 10-20 minutes to deliver it yet still that’s what people wanted
Pizza Hut pan pizza is only really edible fresh out of the pan
Italians have nothing to do with pizza other than the word. If someone is offering you “real Italian pizza” they are either promising you bad food or calling you an idiot to your face.
I understand that pizza as we know it, is unknown in Italy, but I’m sure you know that what we enjoy as pizza, in America, is overwhelmingly the result of, originally, Italian immigrants and their offspring.
Back in the late 80's the pizza buffet was great" I don't think Shakeys pizza has any locations outside of Kalifornia, but they still have the "Bunch of Lunch" buffet. Pizza, Fried Chicken, Salad Bar and their famous MOJO potatoes. I think it is $12.99 all you can eat. The yelp reviews are rather dreadful, but it was fine the last time I went there 35 years ago, lol!
The late 70s and early 80s were the best times for Pizza Hut in my part of the world.
Marco’s or a local chain called Schiano’s in my area.
We haven’t set foot in a Pizza Hut in a couple decades. The last time we went in to one we were the only customers. The staff of about 2 or 3 young people were just visiting with each other and totally ignored us. After about 10 minutes we just left.
We’ve had poor service experiences elsewhere too, typically by young kids that simply do not want to work. That ends our ever going back to those places.
We hadn’t had Pizza Hut for years, tried it 6 months ago - it was the most bland, tasteless pizza you could imagine. Huge disappointment. To the point of, how can you go from great pizza to this garbage?
Never again.
Shakee’s made an ill-advised venture into Connecticut in the early ‘70s. It failed hard and fast. My father (the grand poobah on all things pizza in our household) despised it.
Pizza Hut’s US restaurants have seen sales slip 6 percent this year compared to last.
Another Biden seal of approval the economy is good.
