The '70s were half a century ago, and that fact is especially apparent when you look back at the media of the time. Watch a movie or TV show from that decade or listen to a song, and you won't just notice outdated fashion, interiors, and slang, but you'll also come across plots, characters, and words that are offensive, especially by the standards of 2023. When it comes to music in particular, there are plenty of songs from the '70s that are offensive to listeners now.
1 "Brown Sugar" by The Rolling Stones (1971)

“Money for Nothing” has been sanitized on XM radio. I’m not sure about the streaming services.
“Every Picture Tells A Story” Rod the Bod.
“I fell in love with a slit-eyed lady
By the light of an eastern moon”
“slit-eyed lady knocked me off my feet”
Rednecks - by Randy Newman
Pearl Necklace - ZZ Top
Bodies by the Sex Pistols- an anti-abortion song
Guess Who.
Banned completely in Canada, I think
Rednecks - by Randy Newman
Mainly because it demonstrated the hypocrisy of Northerners.
There’s far worse rap stuff put out over the last few decades.
Tube Snake Boogie, also by ZZ Top
Everywhere are
Freaks and hairies
Dykes and fairies
Tell me, where is sanity?
Just listen to And Your Bird Can Sing from Revolver. Jagger’s “bird” certainly was green (he started dating her when she was 17),she certainly could sing (several big hits here and in Europe) and she certainly could swing (found in her birthday suit during that police raid of Keith Richard’s house).
Heck, for some of these jerk-offs the “Star-Spangled Banner” is offensive.
Anyone remember Cherry Hill Park by Billy Joe Royal? I believe when that song came out, it was banned in a certain country. Don’t remember which one however.
But the slit-eyed lady knocked me off my feet!
Anything by David Allen Coe
It is still the full length on Spotify
