I am sorry to hear that you have friends and family that can be so easily manipulated, my goodness Trump was widely LOVED by all until he ran for POTUS and the media started infecting the minds of people!! There is NO EXCUSE anymore for people to let themselves be manipulated in this way, there are far too many sources of information out there for people to investigate!! After the whole LIE over Covid and vaccines how can people still be duped!!!
It’s a source of sadness and frustration, for sure. I tend to keep a low socio/political profile in conversations around most people anyway — I live in Ithaca NY which is one of the most left-leaning cities in America. So I’ve just become more cautious, and reserve open conversation for those friends who haven’t been afflicted.
What I have found helpful is just telling the ones with TDS that its either Trump or the same people that ran things for the last 40 years.
