I remember back in the 70s when I was a boy they had a so called nation wide heat wave. Other than our chickens laying hard boiled eggs we got through it. A lot of deaths were lone elderly people. That’s one motive to not avoid procreation-you’ll always have kids and grandkids to check up on you. “Mom! Turn on the AC-I’ll pay your electric bill.!”
I’m 80....I still use just my fan here in Upstate. But I’m in a brick building...and that helps.
