I suggest you start preparing for a great deal of left-wing civic violence, supply disruptions (including food shortages) and widespread urban chaos. I say this because it is my sense that the Democrats, deep state, and their media enablers are all in rough shape and have no other way out but to fall back on their usual criminal methods of retaining power.
I find it impossible to believe that President Biden will be the Democratic nominee, and if he is, that he can win. What do the Democrats do? They certainly can’t substitute Kamala Harris for Biden; she’s tanked in opinion polls even lower and faster than has Biden. There are no nationally known non-geriatric substitutes in the wings, save for California governor Gavin Newsom, whose record for screwing up is at least as bad as Biden’s. Youth and a good haircut can only go so far outside Newsom’s home state. Even liberals are now conceding the West Coast has lost its way and become dysfunctional, and who is a better avatar of West Coast progressives than Newsom?
In an opinion piece in the New York Times, Nicholas Kristof asks if they have lost their way. He decries the lack of sensible governance, arguing that good intentions aren’t enough and good governance has demonstrably been lacking:
[M]y take is that the West Coast’s central problem is not so much that it’s unserious as that it’s infected with an ideological purity that is focused more on intentions than on oversight and outcomes. [snip]
Politics always is part theater, but out West too often we settle for being performative rather than substantive.
For example, as a gesture to support trans kids, Oregon took money from the tight education budget to put tampons in boys’ restrooms in elementary schools --

I agree with you, Mom. Our Foster Son (40’s now; we’re still pretty much the only stable people in his life) and I were watching the riots in Madistan on TV in May, 2020. Remember? All that George Floyd made up BS?

Our Foster Son is as leftist as they come and even HE was appalled at their behavior. Madistan has had more frequent outbursts like this. I don’t doubt that 2024 will be more of the same in urban areas.
That said: Anyone that can, GET OUT of the cities! If you can’t, you’ve got a number of months now to stockpile food, medicine, medical supplies, TP, etc. Look at any ‘prepper’ thread here, and do some research on the internet.
And, arm yourselves, but avoid the ‘human’ race. ;)

I stand corrected.
The great advantage we have against the left is all their policies are reactionary and never take into consideration what counter reactions their policies create. Like Ukraine. They have a great idea supported by the best people that ultimately falls into chaos.
Just a reminder that the modus operandi of American Thinker is:
1. List problems.
2. Offer no solutions.
3. Twist panties.
There will be lots of ‘disorder’, they will not allow Trump to be president. I expect an assassination attempt (on Trump) before the election.

Thanks for the ping. Yeah either way there will be problems but we still have to win. Because then the problem makers can be put in jail. Otherwise we will be in jail.
I thought that after Trump’s 2016 win, the left would not go away peacefully. And look at what a terrible hard time he had. Every time he turned around they were after him, on his back, down his throat constantly about one thing or another. He spent more time in his presidency having to fight off their attacks; it’s amazing he got done all that he did accomplish.
Should he win again, you’re absolutely right, they are not going to give up power. They’re already putting measures in place that will stifle him at every turn. We need serious revolution in this country.

And why aren’t we hearing about this, from all over the country? We know what’s happening, from random Youtube videos etc. But the Goebbel’s media pretends like everything is just fine. At least our own media should be covering this.

The difference is, if they are put inn jail, it’s for breaking the law.
If they put us in jail, it’s for wrong think and political prisoner time.
