At the same time, many people now describe themselves as pet parents — dog moms and cat dads. They refer to their pampered pets as fur babies.

Stuff like this makes me wonder if it isn’t all part of the plan. Give money to poor black families since 1965. Now handing out money to “immigrants”. All at the expense of working people.

It does, but not necessarily for everyone's personal economy, and they aren't sharing in that overall economy in a reasonable positive fashion.

Moat of the jobs that have been created are being taken by foreign born citizens & even illegals. All new jobs have been parttime jobs. Fulltime jobs have fallen since Biden took over, or shortly thereafter.

That is why the younger aged group are coming over to the Trump camp.

Most of Gen Z is either just out of college or still in high school.

These stories are click bait.

I can’t imagine the cost of a wedding, having babies, getting a mortgage, healthcare, insurance, food in 2024.

It’s no surprise to me few are able to do that...

This is what America last looks like!

No mention of the Covid ‘vaccine’ impairing fertility?

Gen Zers aren’t having children because of this scary reason

It's because they're not having sex.

You have to have sex to make babies and Gen-Z are the most sexually chaste generation since the Eisenhower years.

“If you were a financial adviser of these young people, you’d be saying, ‘You can’t afford it will have to sacrifice and live a more modest lifestyle,’” he said.

The reward is something you can't buy. A lifetime of love and joy.

How many young people nowadays make marriage and family major life goals?

Young girls nowadays are growing up in a culture in which they are told they can be astronauts , or have any career they desire.

How many young people, both men and women, put off thinking about marriage because they want to develop a career?

How many young people, both men and women, coming out of college at age 21 or 22, decide that they can think about marriage and family years into the future ,if indeed they think about it at all?

‘More than half of 18- to 34-year-olds are choosing not to have children due to financial challenges”

Of the young people choosing not to have children, 35 percent are university-educated, and 33 percent are earning more than $2,000 a week.

A third of them are making six figures at such a young age? I find that hard to believe..

And of course, the main point of the article is that these 'kids' can't afford to have kids? You can easily afford kids on half of that level of income. It's just a matter of not overspending on all the other crap that people don't have the budgeting skills to cut out of their lives.

Can’t have kids b/c they consider smartphones w/ data plans, Netflix, etc, Starbucks, delivery food and so forth as necessities.

You want kids, cut out the BS expenditures and put your family first.

Another thread today claimed that GEN Z people are TAKING THEIR PARENTS WITH THEM ON JOB INTERVIEWS-—INTO THE ACTUAL INTERVIEW WITH PROSPECTIVE EMPLOYER.

BEYOND MY COMPREHENSION.

Had first full time job at age 17—out of high school.
