I thought of that as well. It is not enough to just snicker about their ignorance when many people really don't know and the educational and media institutions won't teach them. The dems utilize this ignorance to their advantage.
Consider that even if these people were fully educated now they may say -- "why did the founders put together this crap? Let's change it to a pure democracy. Hey these socialists and marxists talk about a people's government. Let's do that!"
Don't rule that out. Whether the people see Trump supporters as anti-democracy or they see us as correct about our form of government -- either way the dems may be able to make use of that to our disadvantage.
Nevertheless we should educate the voters and explain WHY it was designed the way it was.

Each of the founders was incalculably brighter than Donie O'Sullivan, and each of them knew, precisely, the definition of "democracy." Yet through their painstaking deliberations and plans, they took a calculated decision to NOT form the US as a democracy, but as a republic. In fact, NONE of the founding documents used the terms, "democracy" or "democratic." They DELIBERATELY AVOIDED that concept in ALL their documents.
Who exactly is Donie O'Sullivan, and why does he believe his incredulity is at all valid?

All true. Pure democracy is an abomination, where 6 out 10 people decide the other four can be eaten, and it is all good and legal.
The Founders recognized it and rightly viewed it as the tyranny of the majority.

I went to high school in 82 - 86. In my school the gist of what we were taught was that Western democracies weren’t pure democracies, and that the US was a Constitutional Republic that contained safeguards to protect individual rights from the threat of “democracy” - so that the basic rights of one individual could not be discarded by the whims of the majority.
BINGO amazing how many can’t tell the difference.

I am glad that you brought that up. Each year I ask my Congress Critter (Clyde-GA) for copies of The US Constitution with The Declaration of Independence. I just received my 2 dozen copies last week and probably will run out of them by the end of the month.
I try my best to educate Teens and early 20’s kind about the Constitution. I have found Memorial Day, Independence Day, and today’s Flag Day relevant for terms for speaking to them about our great country.
I quiz them on it and make it fun for all. It goes over well. I probably have given out over 200 copies in the past few years.
I work for an MLB AAA team and last night we had Pride Appreciation night.
I proudly wore my setup shirt concerning the American Flag and then my collared US Flag Day shirt all night. I received many compliments about my attire, while our management wore their pride stuff.
I did nothing wrong and held my head high.
Minnesota Twins having a Pride Day T-shirt giveaway tomorrow , Saturday June 15. This from a team whose bloggers took part in blocking freeways in support of Anti-FA and BLM.
Well, I will see what our team does tomorrow. They removed the POW/MIA seat of respect ago. If it shows up tomorrow or in the near future, then I will prove that they did it to appease a certain group.
Mrs. R17 and I went to the Stripers game on Wednesday the 12th,
it was a noon-time game, including:
“The National Anthem”; “Take Me Out To The Ballgame”,
and we found it quite enjoyable.
That is so good to hear. It was a great day for baseball. Come back soon. The Stripers are an inexpensive way for the whole family to enjoy baseball.
