There is no ban on full auto. You have to pay a tax when applying.

Has the ban on fully automatic weapons ever been tested in court?To the best of my knowledge, no. Not at the Supreme Court level. The only case directly challenging section 922; is US vs. Miller, a case where the U.S. government lied to the court through omission of very pertinent facts regarding the use of sawed-off shotguns during WWI.
