Drives me crazy when people rearrange that Kipling poem. He never wrote it with “Saxon” in it.

It’s OK to modernize Kipling. My own version substitutes “Patriot” for English, Saxon, etc. And I add “ their eyes were focused down the road” “when the patriots began to lock and load.”——semper fi

I like it better with English anyway.
