"If the document list is as accurate as the citations appear"

Rita; They appear accurate, but I can't confirm they are since I have not attempted to verify them. I think I copied these from F/R 5 or 6 years ago.

“The tree of liberty will sometimes need be watered by the blood.” (Did I mess up this quote too badly?)"

This is the quote:

"...The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants..."

No, not badly.

Context:

Jefferson The "Tree of Liberty" letter

From Thomas Jefferson to William Smith, Paris, November 13, 1787

"...What country before ever existed a century and half without a rebellion? And what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it’s natural manure."

DeToqueville was of course correct in his observations of the American “experiment”. We held, so long as America was “good”.

Seems that initially the Christian faith, traditions and practices were neutralized to fit the times, and as darkness follows light, naturally Education and the Constitution and the American experiment are reshaped to fit the the times of the people.

No, we are no longer a "Good" Country. The twisty people on the left who do not like the U.S. continue to work to make certain of that.
