See - that’s what I was thinking - but I’ve been out for 30 years so wasn’t sure how bad things may have changed knowing they had gotten rid of SWO school at some point was a shock for me.

I retired 25 years ago on Sunday, but who's counting.

If they got rid of SWOS Basic, they probably got rid of SWOS Advanced. I think this will prove to be a serious mistake. When I got to my first ship I was much better prepared to function because I had been through SWOS and main propulsion school.

That means I was only a mostly clueless Ensign instead of a totally clueless Ensign.
